At émigré, we believe that fragrances should be accessible, inviting and fun to discover for as many people as possible. That is why we strive to make our website and services as clear, user-friendly and accessible as possible for a wide audience.
We understand that accessibility means something different to everyone. Needs can vary, for example in terms of vision, colour contrast, readability, navigation, language, technology or ease of use. That is why we continuously evaluate our website and digital experience and improve them wherever possible.
On this page, we explain the steps émigré is taking to improve the website’s accessibility, any limitations that may still exist, and how visitors can contact us if they encounter accessibility issues.

Our commitment to accessibility
- Émigré strives to make its website and digital services as accessible, understandable and user-friendly as possible for the widest possible audience.
- In the development, design and maintenance of the website, émigré takes the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) into account wherever reasonably possible. With regard to colour use and text contrast, émigré strives to ensure that textual content complies with WCAG Level AAA, so that information remains as readable as possible.
- Émigré is committed to providing a digital experience that helps visitors discover products and information in a clear and organised manner, regardless of their experience, technical knowledge or individual needs.
- Accessibility is an ongoing priority. Émigré periodically evaluates and improves the website based on new insights, technical capabilities, user feedback and changing standards.
- Although émigré strives to minimise accessibility barriers as much as possible, it cannot be guaranteed that all parts of the website will be fully accessible or function flawlessly at all times.

What we do to improve accessibility
- Émigré takes measures, as far as reasonably possible, to ensure that the website is clear, understandable and user-friendly for a wide audience.
- In the design and development of the website, attention is paid to, amongst other things:
- clear and legible typography, with attention to fonts, readability and diacritical marks;
- sufficient colour contrast between text and background, based on readability in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG);
- a clear structure of pages, headings, navigation and content;
- understandable language and a clear presentation of information where possible;
- support for keyboard navigation and compatibility with common browsers and devices, insofar as technically feasible;
- alternative descriptions of images where this supports comprehensibility or usability.
- Émigré strives to minimise unnecessary barriers in the digital experience, so that visitors can discover and use products and information as independently as possible.
- Not all parts of the website or third-party services (such as external payment methods, embedded content or linked platforms) are entirely under émigré’s control. Where possible, accessibility and ease of use are taken into account when selecting such services.

Known limitations and ongoing improvements
- Émigré recognises that accessibility is an ongoing process and that certain parts of the website may not yet fully meet the needs or expectations of every user.
- Despite careful attention to design, readability and ease of use, some parts of the website may have temporary technical limitations or may not function equally well on certain devices, browsers or assistive technologies.
- Émigré strives, as far as reasonably possible, to improve the accessibility of the website and periodically assesses which adjustments are desirable or technically feasible.
- Feedback from visitors plays an important role in improving accessibility. Reports of problems or suggestions for improvement are carefully assessed.
- Émigré reserves the right to modify parts of the website, functionalities or technologies used when this is deemed necessary or desirable for ease of use, security or accessibility.
