Émigré ships perfumes and related products with care and attention. This shipping policy explains how orders are processed, shipped and delivered, including important information about delivery times, shipping restrictions and the transport of perfume products.

By placing an order via emigre.nl, you agree to the terms of this shipping policy.

Article 1

Shipping destinations

Émigré currently ships within the Netherlands and to certain countries within the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA).

The available destinations may change from time to time, depending on the availability of carriers, applicable regulations and shipping restrictions regarding fragrance products and alcohol-based products.

If a country is not available during checkout, émigré is currently unable to ship to that country.


Article 2

Processing times

Orders placed at weekends, on public holidays or during temporary closure periods will be processed on the next working day.

During product launches, busy seasonal periods or exceptional circumstances, processing times may be longer. Where possible, significant delays will be communicated via the website or by email.


Article 3

Shipping methods and tracking

Orders are shipped via carefully selected postal and courier services chosen by émigré.

Where tracking is available, the customer will receive a dispatch confirmation and tracking information by email after dispatch.

Delivery estimates displayed during checkout are for guidance only and should not be regarded as guaranteed delivery dates.


Article 4

Shipping restrictions for perfumes

Many perfume products contain alcohol and may be classified for transport as dangerous goods (DG) or limited quantity (LQ) under applicable ADR, air freight, or other transport regulations.

As a result:

  1. Certain products may not be shipped to specific countries or regions.
  2. Delivery times may vary depending on carrier requirements, customs procedures, and transport restrictions.
  3. Not all shipping methods are available for orders containing perfume products, particularly for air transport.
  4. Émigré reserves the right to cancel an order and issue a full refund if shipment is not possible for legal, operational, or carrier compliance reasons.

Article 5

Delivery and consumer responsibility

The consumer is responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery details during checkout.

Émigré cannot be held responsible for delays, failed deliveries or additional costs arising from incorrect address details, missing information or failed delivery attempts.

If an order is returned to émigré as a result of an incorrect address or repeated failed delivery attempts, additional shipping costs may be charged before the order is dispatched again.


Article 6

Lost, damaged or delayed shipments

If an order arrives damaged, the consumer is requested to contact émigré as soon as reasonably possible. Where possible, we also request that the packaging be retained and photographs provided to assist with the assessment.

Although émigré will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolving issues with carriers, émigré cannot be held responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs procedures, weather conditions, strikes or other circumstances beyond émigré’s reasonable control.


Article 7

Partial deliveries and availability

If necessary, orders may, in exceptional cases, be dispatched in multiple shipments.

If a product proves to be unavailable after purchase, émigré will contact the consumer to discuss a suitable solution, including replacement, partial shipment or a refund, where applicable.
