Fragrance description

A dark and sensual composition centred around an exceptional concentration of 7% natural ambergris. The fragrance opens with spicy and smoky facets before rich Trinidad cocoa, woody notes and animalic accents unfold on the skin. Warm, magnetic and intense, with a depth that only natural ambergris can provide.

Note: No animals were harmed in the production of the rare animal-derived ingredients in Mxxx. Both the natural ambergris and African Stone (hyraceum) are derived from naturally secreted materials and were supplied by Stéphane Piquart of Behave, an organisation committed to transparent and sustainable sourcing, fair trade and supporting local communities. As always, ERIS PARFUMS does not test its fragrances on animals.

MXXX. Extrait de Parfum explores boundless sensuality. Whilst Mx. celebrated the freedom to define oneself beyond traditional expectations, Mxxx. invites you to a darker, more intimate experience centred on animalistic warmth, desire and seduction.

Perfumer Antoine Lie built Mxxx. around an overdose of 7% natural ambergris — a rare ingredient that is used only sporadically in such concentrations in modern perfumery. The composition is enhanced by rare African Stone (hyraceum) and a special cocoa from Trinidad and Tobago, processed whilst retaining the cocoa butter to achieve an unusually rich aromatic profile.

The result is a fragrance that feels at once warm, smoky, spicy and animalic. A perfume that does not whisper but seduces, with a deep sensuality that lingers on the skin for a long time.

Antoine Lie is a French perfumer renowned for his bold and unexpected approach to fragrance. He regards perfume as a living sculpture and creates compositions that are layered, emotional and fearless in their defiance of convention.

As an independent perfumer, Lie values creative freedom more highly than set formulas. He prefers to collaborate with brands that prioritise artistic expression over mass-market trends. His long-standing collaboration with ERIS Parfums has resulted in some of the house’s most distinctive creations — from the animalic floral fragrances Ma Bête, Night Flower and Belle de Jour to the gender-fluid creations Mx. and Mxxx. .
