Inspiration behind the perfume

Faced with a maritime theme, Chana Cynamon deliberately chose not to go for the classic interpretation of a marine fougère. Instead, she turned her gaze to the explorers of tomorrow. For her, space travel is a natural continuation of the great maritime voyages of the past.

Plutonium opens with an explosion of menthol, like the sonic boom of a rocket launch. An unknown world of damp earth and aromatic plants then unfolds, whilst milky musk evokes the sensation of skin warmed by another sun. The result is a futuristic fragrance that brings together science, adventure and imagination.

Biography of the perfume creator

Chana Cynamon is a French perfumer known for her experimental approach to fragrance creation. By working with excessive doses, unusual raw materials and compact formulas, she deliberately pushes the boundaries of her craft and creates compositions that amplify emotions and challenge expectations.

When Chana Cynamon took part in Corpo 35, she was completing her studies at the École Supérieure du Parfum. The competition offered her her first opportunity to work from a professional brief and marked an important moment of validation and personal growth.

As she herself says: “This competition was an extraordinary opportunity to express myself creatively. As I was nearing the end of my studies, I needed confirmation that I was on the right path.”

The creation was awarded both fifth prize and the Prix Audace. In addition, Plutonium was a finalist at Beautyworld Middle East 2021 in the niche perfumes category, a recognition of the fragrance’s distinctive and innovative character.

After the competition, Chana Cynamon joined Pallida, where she worked alongside Thomas Fontaine and Vanina Muracciole. She subsequently held roles as Marketing Manager Fine Fragrance at Takasago and as an evaluator at Symrise New York.
