Inspiration behind the perfume

The inspiration for Salome came from an original photograph from the 1920s of a stunning erotic dancer. Her dark, evocative portrait lent itself naturally to the story of Salome, whose intriguing and colourful appearance has fascinated writers, artists and readers for centuries.

The starting point was to create a perfume that is as enigmatic and seductive as the siren in the photograph, whilst at the same time drawing on the rich literary tradition surrounding the enchanting figure of Salome.
