Inspiration behind the perfume

With Alizé, Flavia Romana Durante has created an impressionist olfactory painting of the Normandy coast. Blue, green and grey hues are illuminated by the golden light of a setting sun. A transparent and cheerful marine accord forms the heart of the composition, whilst mimosa and ylang-ylang bring femininity. Galbanum and woody notes provide strength and structure, whilst musk anchors the composition. The result is a truly gender-transcending fragrance, free as the wind.

Biography of the perfume creator

Flavia Romana Durante was born in Rome into a family of perfume enthusiasts. She grew up within the world of Profumum Roma, the house founded in 1996 by her father and uncles around their first creation, Acqua di Sale. For her, perfumery became a second language at a young age.

To further her creative training, she first studied at the GIP in Grasse and then at ISIPCA in Paris, where she specialised in perfumery, creation and management. During this period, Corpo 35 offered her what she describes as “a moment of true creativity and freedom of expression”: the link between her student years and the start of her professional career.

After the competition, Flavia Romana Durante founded Studio Fragrans in Rome, her independent creative studio, and, together with her family, took over the management of Profumum Roma. In doing so, she realised her vision of a free, artisanal and highly personal form of perfumery.
