Fragrance description

Warm golden fur, enveloped in sandalwood and drizzled with honey. Sweet myrrh purrs behind sensual, rosy skin, surrounded by a mist of oakmoss and marked by the rich hues of a leopard’s coat.

A cosy glow of caramel and gourmand notes radiates from the heart of the fragrance, whilst sweet tonka bean glides a sumptuous softness over the skin.

Inspiration behind the fragrance

The muse for this fragrance was Mimi, our perfumer’s Bengal cat. Fascinated by the beauty of her coat, Liz chose not to create a literal translation of the scent, but rather a reinterpretation of the notes she imagined on her leopard-like fur.

Bengale Rouge reflects the warmth and comfort that so many people find in their pets, whilst at the same time doing justice to Mimi’s natural elegance and grace. Liz deliberately omitted wild, animalistic accents and focused instead on a homely cosiness that envelops the wearer with the same softness and comfort she experiences when holding her cat.

At the same time, she wove some of the exotic facets of the Bengal cat breed’s origins into the composition. Unique, elegant and striking, Bengale Rouge captures the majesty and mystery of these beautiful animals in a sumptuous and velvety-soft perfume.
