Fragrance description

Tin Pan Alley opens with elemi, coffee and myrrh: an interplay of aromatic resins, roasted nuances and balsamic depth. At its heart, the smoky character of guaïacwood meets the warmth of Tolu balsam and the soft, powdery floral notes of mimosa absolute.

Amber, musk and cocoa give the base a dark, enveloping warmth. Accents of whisky and oud enhance its timeworn character, while cardamom, rosewood, labdanum, vetiver, Australian sandalwood and frankincense add further shades to the composition. A distinctive fragrance in which smoke, woods and resins come together with a soft floral undertone.

The inspiration behind the fragrance

A dark street, a blues bar, a glass of whisky, a cigar and a leather sofa. These are the images Diana Grüning uses to evoke the world of Tin Pan Alley: lived-in, melancholic and full of character.

The personal inspiration came when she heard her partner playing the song of the same name. Its structure, lyrics and emotional expression fascinated her. She felt a connection to the tension between attraction and repulsion, and was moved by the devotion her partner brought to the performance.

In Tin Pan Alley, that experience takes the form of a fragrance: dark and distinctive, with a softness that resonates through its smoky, resinous layers. Blues in a minor key, with a strong personality and a sensitive soul.
